Pub Date:2022-08-22 15:07 Source:cnanhui.org

Wushan Tiezi started in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, and were originated in Wushan Town, Hefei. Strictly speaking, Wushan Tiezi is iron calligraphy. In regard to its features, it has not only the softness and freshness of paper and ink calligraphy, but also the three-dimensional sense, thick sense and luster sense of arts and crafts. So, Wushan Tiezi is the combination of traditional Chinese calligraphy and iron character technology.

Replacing brush with hammer and ink with iron, Wushan Tiezi is made through exquisite process steps such as reviewing, sampling, pasting, hollowing out, paper removal, forging, examining, painting, and installation. It not only reproduces the autographs of calligraphers in the past dynasties, but also expands the expression forms of calligraphy, and allows calligraphy works to be preserved for a long time.
