Anhui province bagged 13 golds, 9 silvers and 12 bronzes at the 14th National Games, which closed on Monday evening in Xi’an, capital of Shaanxi province. The team of Anhui, consisting of 284 athletes, took part in 161 events across 24 sports. Eight among them competed in the recently-concluded Tokyo Olympics, namely Wang Chunyu, Wang Xiaojing, Lan Minghao, Li Haonan, Li Yuting, Wu Juan, Lv Xiuzhi and Li Huiru. The province claimed 13 gold medals, the largest number of golds it had won at the National Games.
