East China’s Anhui province exported 136 million COVID-19 test kits to 54 countries and regions around the globe in 2021, up 126 percent from a year earlier, statistics from Hefei Customs showed. “COVID-19 test kits are badly needed abroad, so it requires high efficiency in delivering them,” said Gao Yinju, a staff member of Anhui Deep Blue Medical Technology Co. The customs has attached great importance to the export of medical supplies, and made it highly convenient, Gao said, adding that the customs provided 24-hour process guidance and policy interpretation for exporters. 45 COVID-19 test kits produced in the province received registration certificates from overseas, according to the customs. The customs also provided online services and shortened the average approval time from 20 days to half a day as part of its effort to raise export efficiency.
