Anhui province will go through a hot National Day holiday with sunny and cloudy weather expected during the next seven days, according to local weather authorities. Sunshine and clouds are forecast to take over the sky from September 30 to October 6, with the highest temperature to surpass 36 degrees Celsius, said the province’s weather bureau. Some areas on the north of the Huaihe River and between the Huaihe River and the Yangtze River are likely to be hit by showers and thunderstorms from October 7 to 8. The mountainous southern part of the province is expected to be shrouded in fog on the morning of October 1, which will affect the traffic. Residents are advised to take measures against heatstroke and put on sunscreens while traveling. The weeklong National Day holiday begins on Friday.
