Wuhu Xuanzhou Airport in East China’s Anhui province launched a new route on Monday. A flight coded DZ6255 landed at the airport at 11:18 am on the day, marking the launch of another air route linking the Pearl River Delta region, the Yangtze River Delta region and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. The route also connects the airport with three core airports in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The flight took off from Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport at 9:20 am and arrived at Wuhu Xuanzhou Airport at 11: 18 am after a two-hour journey. It was greeted with the highest civil aviation etiquette before leaving for Tianjin. Since it opened on April 30, the airport has launched flights to cities including China's capital Beijing, Foshan and Guangzhou in South China’s Guangdong province, Xi’an in Northwest China’s Shaanxi province, and Kunming in Southwest China’s Yunnan province. Currently, flights are operated from the airport to ten major cities around the country. The Shenzhen-Wuhu Xuanzhou-Tianjin flight is operated by Donghai Airlines on a daily basis. In addition, Shenzhen Airlines will operate a new flight from Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport to Wuhu Xuanzhou Airport on a daily basis starting Thursday.
