Intercity railway to link Ma’anshan, Nanjing

Progress has been made in the Ma’anshan-Nanjing intercity railway project as its feasibility report entered public supervision period on Monday before getting approval, according to the Anhui Provincial Development and Reform Commission. The railway will link Ma’anshan, a city in East China’s Anhui province, and Nanjing, capital of East China’s Jiangsu province. The Anhui section will pass Ma’anshan’s Cihu High-Tech Zone, Huashan district, Yushan district, Economic and Technological Development Zone and Dangtu county. The project is expected to take 36 months. Upon completion, the railway will allow trains to run at a maximum speed of 120 kilometers per hour.
