Yangtze River sees rising water levels

The Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters of Anhui Province issued No.6 flood notice on July 12.

At around 3 pm on July 12, the water level at Huikou station on the main stream of the Yangtze River was 22.29 meters, exceeding the warning level by 2.49 meters. The water level at Datong station was 16.08 meters, exceeding the warning level by 1.68 meters. The water level at Ma'anshan station was 11.31 meters, exceeding the warning level by 1.31 meters. The water level at Zhongmiao station was 10.99 meters, exceeding the warning level by 0.49 meters. The water level at Xinhezhuang station was 13.1 meters, exceeding the warning level by 0.1 meters.

The notice urged more effective flood response measures and all-out efforts to protect people's lives and assets.(By Li Renjian)
