Urban residents’ income up 7.9%

East China's Anhui province saw rapid growth in urban residents’ income during the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-20), with the growth rates higher than the national averages on a yearly basis, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). The urban residents’ per capita disposable income rose from 26,936 yuan (about US$4,169) in 2015 to 39,442 yuan in 2020, representing an average annual increase of 7.9 percent. The growth rate was 0.9 percentage points higher than the national average, bringing the province to the 4th spot in the country. The salary income of urban residents in Anhui went up 39.6 percent, while the asset income surged 86.2 percent, statistics from the NBS showed.
