Proportion of days with good air quality hits 84.6% in Anhui

The proportion of days with good air quality reached 84.6 percent in East China’s Anhui province in the first three quarters of 2021, according to the local environmental regulator.

Huangshan saw the best air quality among the 16 prefecture-level cities in the province, with blue-sky days accounting for 99.6 percent of the total, the Department of Ecology and Environment of Anhui Province said.

The city was followed by Xuancheng and Anqing. Huainan ranked at the bottom as the percentage of days with good air quality stood at 76.2 percent.

The density of hazardous airborne particle PM 2.5 reached 18 micrograms per cubic meter in Qimen and Yixian, the lowest concentration among the province’s 59 counties. The figure in Jieshou was 43 micrograms per cubic meter, the highest in the province.
