Huangshan geographical indication exhibition hall opens

The Huangshan Geographical Indication (GI) Exhibition Hall opened a few days ago.

With the theme of "Innovation led by knowledge; Protect the GI first" through the "Internet + GI Products" model, the exhibition hall uses display cases, exhibits, display boards, promotional videos and on-site explanations to showcase Huangshan GI products. It opened a new window for the general public and tourists to understand the development history and product features of Huangshan GI products.

Currently, Huangshan City has 13 protected GI products, ranking first in Anhui province; 208 enterprises are authorized to use unique signs for GI products, ranking second in the province, involving goods and services in agriculture, forestry, tourism and other industries. In addition, Yishan Shimo tea and Shexian Zhulanhua tea have applied for the protection of GI products and are under technical review; Huangshan Maofeng tea and Taiping Houkui tea have been included in the second batch of China - Europe GI Products List; Taiping Houkui Tea National GI Product Protection Demonstration Area has become Anhui's first national GI product protection demonstration area.

In recent years, Huangshan City has introduced the first patent agency; implemented the trademark brand strategy; strengthened the protection of traditional Anhui culture; built a regional public brand; built an intellectual property service center; promoted the experience of GI protection demonstration area; built a pilot program for developing intellectual property rights (IPR) power in China, and formed a full-chain service system of intellectual property creation, protection, and utilization.
