2022 Huangshan Book Fair kicks off in Hefei

The 2022 Huangshan Book Fair opened on August 26 in Hefei City, capital of Anhui Province.

Themed "Welcome the 20th National Congress with new reading experience in Anhui", the event will last for three days, during which a total of over 500 publishers participate as exhibitors, more than 200,000 kinds of books are on display and on sale both online and offline, and more than 500 cultural and reading activities are scheduled to be held.

The main exhibition venue of this year's Huangshan Book Fair is set at Hefei's Binhu International Convention Center, with Lu'an Municipal Library as a sub-exhibition site. In the meantime, multiple parallel sub-sessions are run simultaneously at three online shopping platforms and 170 physical reading spaces across the province, such as Xinhua bookstores and public libraries.

The main exhibition area covers 18,000 square meters, the largest ever in in the event's history. A total of 15 exhibition booths are set up at the scene, including the theme booth of "Welcome the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC)", Anhui Cultural Classics Exhibition Booth, Intangible Cultural Heritage Booth, Live Streaming Booth and Anhui Select Periodicals Booth.

More than 500 cultural and reading activities pertaining to topics such as the display and marketing of publications, information-exchange and discussion, and copyright promotion will be hold simultaneously at both online and offline venues of the book fair. Cultural celebrities in and outside the province such as A Lai, Liu Jianwei, Ju Ping and Qin Ming were also invited to promote reading at the event scene.
