Dozens of artists and craftsmen gathered in Huangshan University in Huangshan, East China’s Anhui province, on Wednesday to show fascinating cultural legacy to students and the faculty members.

That was part of a provincial event called Cultural Masters into Colleges and Universities and Intangible Cultural Heritage into Campus.

The artists and craftsmen wowed students and teachers with brilliant performances featuring folk songs and dances, paintings, carvings and the like.

Initiated in 2018, the annual event aims to encourage young people to inherit traditional cultural legacy and protect intangible cultural heritage. It is launched by local authorities including the Publicity Department of the CPC Anhui Provincial Committee and the Anhui Federation of Literary and Art Circles.

The activity was also held in Anhui University of Finance and Economics and Anhui Medical University earlier this year.
