Anhui Digital Film Contest Accepts Entries

A digital film contest opened in Hefei city, Anhui province on July 27. It was jointly organized by the Anhui Media Workers Association and the Anhui provincial department of radio, television and film.

The contest welcomes any contestant who would like to shoot a digital movie to show their unique perspectives. The contest has four categories: animation, science fiction, documentary and advertising. Submissions are due by September 10 and the film must be five to 30 minutes in length. Each film short should have a complete story and be shot after January 2011.

The panel of judges will choose their favorites to broadcast on a TV station or website. A large awards ceremony will also be held in October. The organizing committee will provide funds to award those excellent contestants and to help promote the development of Anhui's film industry.

The contest provides a good platform for many masterpieces to be seen by the public. Any film lovers should take this opportunity to show their special skills and vision.
