Hefei breaks into top 100 global dynamic cities

Recently, China Academy of Urban Planning & Design released “The Annual Report 2021 on Global Cities in the Vision of the Belt and Road Initiative”. The report ranks Hefei, capital of Anhui province, 91st out of 100 global dynamic cities. This is the first time Hefei has entered the global top 100 since the report was first published in 2019. Hefei ranks 17th among mainland cities in China.

The annual report analyzes 513 cities around the world, using 15 indicators across three dimensions to identify global dynamic cities and measures the vitality of cities within the global value chain network.

Tokyo of Japan, Shanghai of China and Beijing of China rank among the top three.

Hefei should take advantage of culture, location, transportation, ecological environment, and technology and innovation for achieving further development of the city.
