Wild mandarin duck seen in Xinghua Park in Hefei

An employee in Xinghua Park in Hefei, Anhui province found a wild mandarin duck paddling leisurely on the lake and walking through the waterfront plants on the morning of April 11, and took photos of this State Second-class Protected animal.

Appearance of wild creatures is reckoned to be embodiment of improvement in ecological environment. It is the first time that people have found a mandarin duck in the park, following the discovery of a wild duck.

The mandarin duck may be a male, as feather of the male mandarin duck is brighter than that of the female one, according to a staff member of the park. (By Yang Zixuan)
