Sanhe National Wetland Park pilot project passes acceptance check

According to the recent check result released by the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, Sanhe National Wetland Park pilot project in Feixi County, Anhui Province, has successfully passed the acceptance test of 2020 National Wetland Park pilot projects.

The Sanhe wetland is located near Chao Lake, one of the five largest freshwater lakes in China. On December 31,2015, a pilot construction project of a national wetland park here was approved by the state and was scheduled to be completed in five years.

The wetland area of Sanhe covers 1,682.83 hectares, accounting for 89.17% of the park's total area of 1,887.22 hectares. The wetland is a vast area with a great variety of wild animals and plants. According to previous investigations, 316 species of vascular plants belonging to 90 families and 106 species of wild animals have been found in the wetland.
