Anhui province has deepened cooperation with its Yangtze River Delta neighbors - Shanghai and Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces - in developing industrial zones, organizing and attending conventions and expositions, and sharing information since the beginning of this year, Anhui Daily reports on Wednesday.
From January to April, the three regions invested in 1,579 Anhui-based projects each worth more than 100 million yuan ($15.43 million). As of April 30, up to 141.58 billion yuan had been injected, the report says.
Remarkable progress was made in building inter-provincial industrial parks or zones. For example, a modern industrial park jointly built by Suzhou Industrial Park in Jiangsu province and the municipal government of Chuzhou in Anhui province has grown well and served as a template. Shanghai Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park worked together with Xiaoxian county to develop a hi-tech park in the county. Ningguo Economic and Technological Development Zone reached a strategic cooperative agreement with Shanghai Songjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone.
Conventions and exhibitions functioned as major platforms for win-win cooperation among Yangtze River Delta members. Big events such as the World Manufacturing Convention 2018 and the Anhui Investment and Trade Expo 2018 attracted many companies and visitors from across the delta.
The province will join in providing services for the China International Import Expo slated to be held in Shanghai between November 5 and 10. Local enterprises will be encouraged to participate in the upcoming China Food and Drinks Fair in Jiangsu’s capital Nanjing, China International Auto Products Expo in Shanghai, and East China Fair in Shanghai.
A unified customs clearance system has been in use in the Yangtze River Delta. In addition, the province is speeding up the establishment of “ Single Window” for international trade as part of its efforts to bring concrete benefits to trade dealers.
