Huang Kunming, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, visited the Anhui pavilion at the 14th China International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) held in Shenzhen, south China's Guangdong Province, on Thursday.
Covering an area of 1,471 square meters, the Anhui pavilion showcases 50 programs in three categories: 16 culture-technology-integrated ones to demonstrate province-owned cultural firms latest achievements in integrated development, 11 digital cultural ones to show the province’s latest achievements in intelligent speech, animation, online games, internet culture, and digital cultural gadgets, etc, and 23 creative cultural products.
The ICIF, China's top, internationalized and comprehensive fair for cultural industries, is co-sponsored by the Publicity Department, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Commerce, the State Administration of Radio and Television, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Guangdong provincial government and Shenzhen municipal government.
At the opening ceremony on May 10, the Anhui pavilion was packed with visitors from around the world. They were downloading a book-sharing app, experiencing a VR gadget, watching national intangible heritage successors making artware, or discussing interested cultural industrial programs.
41 cultural firms and organizations from Anhui province attend the fair which is slated to run through May 14.
The event aims to promote the development of China's cultural sector and the globalization of Chinese cultural products by offering a trade platform to cultural enterprises across the country.
