Tangchi Hot Spring Resort
The top administration of tourism of East China's Anhui province on Thursday released a list of six new provincially-recognized destinations, including Tangchi, a hot spring resort in Hefei, the capital of the province.
About 70 kilometers away from Hefei, the attraction is famous for its hot springs which are believed to be beneficial to human health, with curative effects on more than 50 kinds of diseases.
In addition to Tangchi, Hefei boasts two other scenic areas that have been officially upgraded to the provincial level a year before: Bantang, also a spa destination, and Zipeng Mountain, according to the Anhui Tourism Administration.
Among the newly-crowned spots are the main peak of the Dabie Mountains, the Tianjing Lake in Tongling city, Enlong Wooden Villa in Xuancheng city and Xinghua village in Chizhou city, the list showed.
