Seven role models from East China’s Anhui province made August’s list of Chinese Good Samaritans, Anhui Daily reported Thursday.
The are listed as follows:
Li Jingke, a community- sponsored teacher in Mengcheng county who has stuck to his post for 28 years despite Ankylosing Spondylitis;
Guo Shifa, a teacher in Huaibei city who saved a drowning girl;
Xu Linyou, a chest surgeon in Huangshan city who fought cancer bravely and positively and helped many patients out of the shadow of life with his remarkable medical skill and first-hand anti-cancer experience;
Wang Zaijun, a village official having guarded voluntarily the tombs for local martyrs for 58 years;
Feng Jilin, a dedicated and warm-hearted laboratory technician in a rural hospital in Bengbu city;
Zhai Ying, a retired worker in Bozhou city who found a charitable organization to help 80 left-behind children;
Lu Liyu, a rural entrepreneur who devoted more than 30 million yuan ($4.49 million) to his hometown to improve local infrastructure and environment.
