The China Institute of City Competitiveness issued the list of "Advantaged Cities in China (2012)" in Hong Kong recently. Wuhu city claimed a spot in the "2012 China Top 10 Cities to Live In" list.
Wuhu ranked eighth, with a score of 75.23, and is the only city listed from Anhui province.
This year, 297 cities from the mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan competed in the Top 10 cities list. After a one-year evaluation, the jury finally picked out the 10 cities, namely Suzhou, Jinhua, Weihai, Huizhou, Taizhong, Nanning, Xinyang, Wuhu, Quzhou and Yichun.
The overall evaluation focuses on the cities' habitable conditions, which includes a beautiful environment, stable society, progressive civilization, robust economy and high reputation.
