Chinese Wushu athletes Lai & Zhang claim golds at 2022 World Games

The 2022 World Games continued on Thursday. The 11th edition of the Games runs from July 7 to 17 with athletes from around 100 countries competing in 223 events. China's Lai Xiaoxiao and Zhang Yaling won two gold medals in Wushu in Birmingham, Alabama.

Born in Anhui, and a long-time member of the Anhui Wushu team, Lai claimed gold in the women's Taolu Changquan final with a score of 9.587 points. Mauriskha Nandhira from Indonesia was second.

In the final competition on the women's side, Taolu Nanquan and Nandao, China's Zhang, grabbed the gold medal while Uzbekistan's Darya Latisheva picked up silver.
