Renowned athlete from Anhui challenges new record

On July 11th, at the 2021 Exciting Hangzhou Athletics Invitational Tournament, Wang Chunyu, a 26-year-old renowned athlete from Anhui province, made another breakthrough, winning the women’s 800m championship with a time of 1:59.18. It was her second time to finish 800m within 2 min this season and she also set new personal record, which was the best in Asia this year. Wang has qualified for the Tokyo Olympics, hoping to complete 800m within 1:59 and participate in the final. (By Yang Zixuan)
