The Zongyang hub is one of the two river diversion gates of the Yangtze River to the Huaihe River Diversion Project. Under the embellishment of green hills and blue waters, the navigation locks, pump stations, and traffic bridges are magnificent. The Zongyang hub is a flood-control project for the river entry of the Caizi Lake line, which has the functions of water diversion, flood discharge, navigation and water ecological restoration. It mainly comprises navigation locks, pumping stations, check-gates, fish crossing facilities, and cross-canal traffic bridges. In the whole project of diverting the Yangtze River to the Huaihe River, the Zongyang River Diversion Hub has the most complex technical conditions, the greatest flood control risk, and the largest single project investment. At present, the main project of the Zongyang hub has been completed, laying the foundation for the trial operation and navigation at the end of the year.
