Anhui-based firm sells a plane online

A general aviation company based in Wuhu of Anhui province sold a light sports plane on Tmall, China’s major e-commerce platform, during a shopping festival on Thursday. The company received an order from a man surnamed Qiu, who claimed to be in his 20s and have a pilot’s license. He bought a CTLS light sports aircraft priced at 1.5 million yuan (about $234,750). This was the first aircraft deal on e-commerce platforms in the country. The plane is expected to be delivered within three months. The Double Eleven shopping festival, also known as Singles' Day shopping spree, falls on Nov 11.
