Recently, two more provincial technology innovation centers (TIC), "Urban Infrastructure Safety TIC of Anhui Province" and "Agricultural Sensors and Intelligent Perception TIC of Anhui Province," were established in Hefei. For now, Hefei has established ten provincial TICs, involving many frontier fields such as artificial intelligence, new energy, intelligent manufacturing, and environmental monitoring. The reporter was informed that the Urban Infrastructure Safety TIC of Anhui was established by relying on the Hefei Institute for Public Security Research, Tsinghua University. The center will focus on critical technological innovation research such as urban infrastructure engineering diagnosis, operation monitoring and early warning, disaster prevention and mitigation. Agricultural Sensors and Intelligent Perception TIC of Anhui was established by relying on the "Zhongke (Chinese Academy of Sciences) Hefei Intelligent Agricultural Valley Co., Ltd." It will focus on researching the international advanced technologies of agricultural equipment and artificial intelligence, breaking through several key generic technologies, and establishing a demonstration model for smart agriculture. Provincial TIC is the highest level of technology innovation and achievement transformation base in Anhui Province, the "reserve team" of the national science and technology innovation base, and the "vanguard team" of various innovation bases in the province. The total number of provincial TIC in Anhui has reached 19.
