The Ministry of Science and Technology supported the construction of Hefei-Wuhu-Bengbu National Scientific and Technological Achievements Transfer and Transformation Demonstration Area in Anhui Province and put forward the corresponding construction requirements, the ministry said on its official website on Wednesday. By 2025, the demonstration zone will become a new impetus for promoting Anhui’s innovative development and an important area for coordinated development among the Yangtze River Delta area. Meanwhile, it will be formed as the national demonstration model for the transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements. The demonstration zone will take Hefei, Wuhu, Bengbu, Anqing and Lu’an as the main construction body, actively build a transfer and transform system of scientific and technological achievements, strengthen the supply and transformation of original scientific and technological achievements, establish and improve the enterprise-led industrial technology research and development mechanism, play the role of supporting service force of market-oriented and socialized institutions and platforms, and cultivate clusters of development bases. At the same time, the demonstration zone will fully integrate itself into the pattern of regional opening-up and coordinated development, give full play to the leading role of demonstration zones, strengthen the trans-regional and trans-international flow of scientific and technological achievements, and fully support trans-regional collaborative innovation of the world-class urban agglomeration in the Yangtze River Delta region.
