On the afternoon of January 26, the Anhui Provincial Meeting on Accelerating the Cultivation of Leading Agricultural Technology Enterprises was held in Hefei. The meeting made clear that Anhui will further strengthen the role of enterprises as the main drivers of technological innovation and provide agricultural tech firms with a comprehensive "package" of policies, funding, and platforms.

According to reports, the province is studying and formulating targeted support measures, planning to select and establish a reserve pool of leading agricultural technology enterprises and implement classified guidance with "one enterprise, one policy" approaches to tackle firms' development difficulties. In terms of resource support, Anhui will continue to promote the appointment of "vice presidents of technology," implement "benchmark" and "model" projects, and leverage the intellectual resources of universities and research institutes to raise enterprise innovation capacity. At the same time, the province will increase the coordination and integration of fiscal funds, use industrial funds to guide investments, and build and improve financing‑matching service mechanisms to broaden corporate financing channels.

At the meeting, eight companies including Fengle Seed and Meiya Optoelectronics were awarded the "Enterprise Key Laboratory under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs" plaques. This brings the total number of national‑level key agricultural enterprise laboratories in the province to 12. As national R&D platforms, these laboratories will focus on tackling key core technologies and on transferring research outcomes into practical applications.

Speakers at the meeting showcased the results achieved through the "vice president of technology" initiative and the key laboratories. Hefei Wanhao Energy, with assistance from its technology vice president, overcame critical technologies such as biogas purification, providing a "China solution" for the green transition of the shipping industry. Wang Renhe Rice Noodle Food Company, with expert support, successfully defined and opened up a new niche in "nutritional‑functional rice noodles." Wuhu Zhonglian Agricultural Machinery Company, relying on its key laboratory, has invested over CNY 210 million in R&D to date and achieved notable results in intelligent agricultural machinery and new‑energy equipment, realizing more than CNY 3 billion in revenue from technology transfers.
