N'DJAMENA, May 12 (Xinhua) -- Chadian Minister of Youth and Sports Maide Hamit Lony on Monday received from Chinese Ambassador Wang Xining the keys to the Mandjafa Stadium, which was built and donated by China to Chad.

Speaking on the occasion, Wang said that the 30,000-seat stadium now belongs to the Chadian government and the people, standing as a testimony to the fraternal friendship between the Chinese and Chadian peoples and the China-Chad strategic partnership.

"This partnership was renewed during the visit of Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno to Beijing in China," Wang said.

Acknowledging the value of the partnership between China and Chad, Lony recalled that the stadium is not just a structure made of concrete, steel and artificial turf, but above all a concrete fruit of the exemplary and productive cooperation between Chad and China.

The cooperation has gone from strength to strength over the years in a spirit of mutual respect, trust and win-win partnership, said Lony.■
