The reporter learned from the Anhui Provincial Department of Transportation and the Anhui Transportation Holding Group, during the Spring Festival holiday, the traffic volume entering and exiting the provincial highway network was about 38.74 million vehicles, with a daily average traffic volume of about 4.84 million vehicles, an increase of about 45% compared to 2023. Among them, on February 17th (the eighth day of the first lunar month), the vehicle flow exceeded 5.85 million, setting a new historical record.

Anhui's highway network connects the north and south, and extends from east to west, serving as an important passage connecting the central and western regions with the Yangtze River Delta. During the Spring Festival period, the overall smoothness rate of the provincial highway network was around 96%, and there were no long-distance, large-scale, or prolonged road congestions during the holiday. Some sections, such as the G40 Shanghai-Shaanxi Expressway Hefei-Lu'an-Yeji and Hefei-Nanjing sections, the G42 Shanghai-Chengdu Expressway Lu'an-Wuhan section, the G4221 Shanghai-Wuhan Expressway Wuwei-Yuexi section, and the G3 Beijing-Taipei Expressway Hefei-Anqing section, occasionally experienced slow-moving traffic, but the number of slow-moving spots, duration, and distance decreased significantly compared to previous years.

During the Spring Festival period, the Anhui Transportation Holding Group conducted a total of 4,065 vehicle rescue services on various road sections, averaging 451 rescue tasks per day. The rescue radius was reduced from 50 kilometers to 20 kilometers. Approximately 18 rescue tasks were carried out per hour, with an average response time of 9 minutes and an average handling time of 13 minutes. The satisfaction rate of the rescue services reached 99.49%.

Currently, there are 9 intelligent toll stations operating across the province, with vehicle passage efficiency improved by over 85%, achieving a vehicle speed of 60 km/h. A total of 243 dedicated lanes for small vehicles have been established, and the opening rate of toll stations during peak traffic hours reached 100%. During the Chinese New Year period, service areas provided free New Year's Eve dinner for drivers and passengers, offered 24-hour hot water, set up additional temporary public toilets, installed shower facilities in 40 pairs of service areas, ensured parking for over 6.6 million vehicles, generated sales of self-produced Anhui agricultural products totaling 2.167 million yuan, and served approximately 19.7 million passengers, representing a year-on-year increase of 117%. Service area gas stations served over 2.1 million vehicles, supplying 56,000 tons of finished oil. The 96566 hotline received 29,216 service requests and resolved 280 user complaints.
