In the first half of this year, under the policy of attracting both investment and talents, a total of 854 projects in the life and health industry were signed, started or put into production in Anhui, a year-on-year increase of 5.3 times; the investment amount was 255.67 billion yuan (about 37.94 billion U.S. dollars), a year-on-year increase of 4.6 times.
In terms of critical projects, the government has adjusted the schedule of the Dangshan Mindray Medical Technology Industrial Park project. After completion, it will become Mindray Medical's fourth largest manufacturing base in the world; it accelerated the construction of Taihe Baoxing Medical and Health Industrial Park. Promoted the development of industrial clusters by establishing industrial guidance funds and cultivating leading enterprises; connected with Fudan University, shared the medical and industrial resources, and co-built a Precision Medicine Innovation Center to create an achievement transformation platform in the field of life and health in Anhui.

The relevant person in charge said that the government would make Hefei a life and health industry growth center in Anhui; make Bozhou the "Capital of Traditional Chinese Medicine"; make Fuyang the "Capital of Chinese Medicine," and accelerate the construction of health and wellness tourism development zones in Huangshan, Chizhou, Xuancheng and Anqing.
