USTC on list of first batch of future technology colleges

The Ministry of Education of China revealed a list of the first batch of 12 future technology colleges on May 26, including the School of Future Technology of the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC).

Here is the list: Future Technology College of Peking University, Future Technology College of Tsinghua University, Future Aerospace Technology College of Beihang University, Future Technology of Tianjin University, Future Technology College of Northeastern University, Future Technology College of Harbin Institute of Technology, Future Technology College of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Future Technology College of Southeast University, School of Future Technology of the USTC, Future Technology College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Future Technology College of South China University of Technology and Future Technology College of Xi’an Jiaotong University.

The ministry called upon those universities to develop frontier, revolutionary and subversive technology in the next 10-15 years, cultivate forward-looking and technologically-innovative talents who can lead the future development, and promote the transformation and upgrading from “Made in China” to “Created in China”.
