On July 24, the reporter learned from the Hefei Customs that from the beginning of this year, Anhui Province's imports and exports with countries along the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road totaled 125.2 billion yuan, an increase of 26.8% over the same period last year, accounting for 33.2% of the province's total imports and exports during the same period. Under the pressure of foreign trade, the province has vigorously developed emerging markets, built a high-level open platform, cultivated and expanded advantageous industries, and continuously gathered new foreign trade momentum. Statistics show that since this year, Anhui Province's imports and exports with "Belt and Road" countries rapidly increased to 22.76 billion yuan in March, and continued to maintain a high level from April to June. In June alone, the province's imports and exports with "Belt and Road" countries totaled 22.35 billion yuan, up 23.1%. Of this, exports totaled 17.86 billion yuan, up 33.2%. An official from Hefei Customs analyzed that in terms of enterprise nature, private enterprises accounted for the highest proportion, while state-owned enterprises grew the fastest. In the first half of the year, Anhui Province's private enterprises imported and exported 60.48 billion yuan with "Belt and Road" countries, up 4.3%; state-owned enterprises imported and exported 44.61 billion yuan, up 125.5%. In terms of exported products, mechanical and electrical product exports grew rapidly. In the first half of the year, Anhui Province exported mechanical and electrical products worth 70.03 billion yuan to the routes, up 75%, accounting for 70.3% of the province's total exports to the routes during the same period.
