Anhui's market entities expected to surpass 9 million by 2025

The number of market players in Anhui province will exceed 9 million at the end of 2025, according to a recent market supervision plan for the 14th Five-Year Plan(2021-2025) period.

The continuously deepening reform for streamlining administration and delegating power, improving regulation and upgrading services has stimulated huge vitality and motivation among market entities.

The total number of market entities in Anhui increased from nearly 2.76 million at the end of the 12th Five-Year Plan(2011-2015) period to almost 5.88 million at the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan(2016-2020) period, with its ranking up from the 13th to the 9th in the country.

More than 30 major reforms and measures will be adopted in Anhui Province, in order to improve the market development environment and foster and strengthen market entities, according to the plan.

The province will continue to set the reform and innovation of market access system as an important role for stimulating market vitality to promote the development of market entities and advance steady economic growth, said the head of Anhui Market Supervision Bureau.

Furthermore, it will continue to promote full competition as part of its effort to build a unified and open market system, the official said.
