Some transportation projects in East China’s Anhui province have been inscribed on the plan for transportation systems in the Yangtze River Economic Belt during the 14th Five-Year Plan period(2021-25), the local economic regulator said on Monday. These projects include a high-speed railway from Hefei, capital of the province, to Wuhan, capital of Central China’s Hubei province, road-rail bridges in cities of Wuhu, Tongling and Chizhou, and airports in Bozhou and Bengbu, the Anhui Development and Reform Commission said. According to the plan, the Yangtze River Economic Belt, which consists of 11 provincial-level regions along the river, will establish a transportation network and transportation service system that can integrate with the national transportation network and meet passenger and freight demands by 2025. Efforts will be stepped up to build a coordinated, efficient, intelligent, green and safe transportation system before 2035, the plan said.
