East China's Anhui province will host an international textile and apparel expo in June, as part of its effort to promote the high-quality development of the industry, local authorities said at a recent press briefing. The expo is slated to be staged at Anhui International Convention and Exhibition Center in Hefei, capital of the province, in early June. Covering an area of 12,000 square meters, the venue will showcase fabric, yarn, clothes, finished textile products, medical supplies, fashion newspapers and magazines, and relevant machines and equipment. The expo will also include activities to promote textile and garment orders and resources, a meeting with the aim of seeking investment into key industrial hubs in the Yangtze River Delta region, and a series of press conferences on fashion trends. A textile and apparel alliance in the Yangtze River Delta region will be formed and agreements on cooperative programs will be signed during the expo. In 2020, the province was home to 1,521 textile and apparel enterprises above designated size - enterprises with annual revenue of 20 million yuan or more. Their industrial value-added output edged up 0.7 percent from a year earlier, statistics showed.
