East China’s Anhui province kicked off the annual Constitution Week publicity campaign on Sunday in its capital Hefei.
The campaign was Jointly launched by the Publicity Department of the Anhui Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the Work Committee of Organizations directly under the CPC Anhui Provincial Committee, the Committee of Supervision and Justice under the Anhui Provincial People’s Congress, the Department of Justice of Anhui Province, the Anhui Provincial Office for Law Popularization, the municipal government of Hefei and the Feidong county government. It is set to end on December 7.
More than 30 inquiry counters and nearly 100 display panels were set up at the launch ceremony to popularize laws and regulations and offer services such as legal consulting and aid.
Meanwhile, calligraphers wrote law-themed couplets for the public. A lantern riddle guessing activity and art performances were also held.
Yao Yuzhou, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Anhui Provincial Committee, attended the ceremony.
China’s current Constitution was adopted on December 4, 1982.
