The number of flights between Hefei, east China’s Anhui province, and Beijing has decreased to 3-5 on a daily basis from 6-7 in early June due to the discovery of domestically transmitted COVID-19 cases in the Chinese capital, the Anhui Civil Aviation Airport Group Co. said on Tuesday.
Three flights were operated from Hefei to Beijing yesterday --- CA1844 from Hefei Xinqiao International Airport to Beijing Capital International Airport, MU5169 from Hefei Xinqiao International Airport to Beijing Daxing International Airport, and JD5578 from Sanya Phoenix International Airport to Beijing Daxing International Airport via Hefei Xinqiao International Airport. Around 100 flights are scheduled to depart Hefei Xinqiao International Airport today, including five ones to Beijing. Passengers arriving in the Hefei airport are required to scan their health codes or travel codes and have body temperature checked. Those holding green codes are allowed to leave the airport, while those with yellow and red codes or abnormal temperature will be further treated by epidemic prevention staff of the airport. No passengers have been found holding yellow or red codes on flights from Beijing to Hefei so far.
