Hefei to Kick off 6 Subway Projects

Workers are engaged in a subway project in Hefei, East China’s Anhui province, on March 16, 2020. The National Development and Reform Commission has given the nod to a plan for the construction of subways in Hefei, capital of East China’s Anhui province, in the next five years. Under the plan, the city will build subway line 6, line 7 and line 8 as well as extensions to line 2, line 3 and line 4 from 2020 to 2025. An estimated 79.81 billion yuan (US$11.28 billion) will be invested into the six projects, which altogether stretch 109.96 kilometers.
