The General Administration of Sport of China and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced on Friday the Beijing Olympic Park and 47 other units were identified as the National Sports Tourism Demonstration Bases, including HuiHang Road Scenic Spot in Xuancheng, Anhui Province and Dashu Longshan Tourist Resort in the province's Chuzhou. Huihang Road, with a total length of more than 20 kilometers, starts from Anhui’s Fuling Town and ends at the Zhejitian Village in Zhejiang Province. Dashu Longshan Tourist Resort is a national 3A-rated tourist scenic spot, located in the core area of Dashu Modern Agricultural Demonstration Zone. National Sports Tourism Demonstration Bases play a significant role in the integrated development of sports and tourism throughout the country. 47 units were identified as National Sports Tourism Demonstration Bases on the recommendation of sports administrative departments and culture and tourism departments of all provinces, and through expert evaluation, on-site assessment and public scrutiny, according to the announcement.
