East China’s Anhui province launched an event in its capital Hefei on Tuesday to promote local tourism resources. Sponsored by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Anhui Province, the event, in its third year, will last for two months. 100 reporters from domestic media outlets, including newspapers, TV stations and web portals, as well as influencers will visit the province in six groups during the following days. Their trips will be publicized on 550 media platforms around the country. The event aims to promote Anhui’s fine views in spring and its characteristic cultural and tourism products, and help the province create a thriving tourism market and get off to a good start in the development of culture and tourism in the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25). Anhui is home to 12 5A-rated tourist attractions and some 200 4A-rated ones. Well-known scenic spots include Huangshan Mountain, Jiuhua Mountain, Hongcun village, Xidi village and Sanhe ancient town.
