13 agreements were signed at an event jointly launched by Anhui and Taiwan, worth 127.5 million dollars.
The 2nd Anhui-Taiwan Science & Technology Forum was held in Taiwan from May 23 to 30. It is believed as another great event Anhui has held in Taiwan following a visit to the island paid by Anhui's delegation with former governor Wang Sanyun as its head last year.
More than 300 delegates from the mainland and Taiwan attended the forum, exchanging views on management science, technological innovation and development of enterprises, communication of science and technology, modern agriculture and meteorological science.
At the event, Anhui-based universities, corporations and organizations reached 13 cooperation agreements with Taiwan, among which ten were letters of intent on science and education and the rest business contracts.
Ni Fake, vice governor of Anhui, addressed the opening ceremony of the forum, calling on both sides to deepen exchange and encourage cooperation.
