Railway Stations Increase Operations for May Day Holiday

Shanghai railway stations will put 70 additional trains into service. About 1.75 million trips are expected to be transported during the upcoming May Day holiday, according to media reports. Peak passenger flow is expected on April 29, with an estimated 500,000 trips from Shanghai made by train. Some tickets to popular destinations, such as Hefei in East China's Anhui Province, are already sold out.
