Anhui's key resettlement project reaches milestone

With the advancement of the water diversion project from Yangtze River to Huaihe River, both sides of the Jianghuai Canal have become hot spots for development, and a vibrant modern city has emerged from the ground up. The water diversion project from Yangtze River to Huaihe River is the No. 1 water conservancy project in Anhui Province, and its supporting construction is of great significance in ensuring the efficient completion of the project.

On the morning of July 23rd, with the pouring of the last batch of concrete, the key project of Anhui Province, the K block project of the resettlement area of the water diversion project from Yangtze River to Huaihe River (Xiaomiao section in Shushan District), undertaken by China Railway No.4 Engineering Group, was fully capped, marking the project's entry into the bricklaying and internal construction phase.

The resettlement project is located in Xiaomiao Town, Shushan District, Hefei City, with a construction area of about 1.36 million square meters and the ability to accommodate 8,920 households and 15,839 people. The K block project has a total construction area of about 145,400 square meters, including 10 high-rise residential buildings, 2 transformer substations, 1 municipal switching station, underground parking lots, and outdoor landscapes. The project officially started on March 1, 2022, and is scheduled to be completed on August 17, 2024, with a total construction period of 900 calendar days.

As an important supporting project for the construction of the water diversion project from Yangtze River to Huaihe River in Anhui Province, the project provides resettlement housing for some of the residents affected by the project construction, and has received the attention of governments at all levels and residents. After completion, it will provide 1,044 households with housing, effectively improving the living conditions of urban residents, contributing to the implementation of the policy objectives of adjusting housing prices, and having important significance for improving people's livelihoods and promoting social harmony and stable development.
