On November 7, the reporter learned from the Anhui Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology that the 2022 World Conference on Integrated Circuits will be held in Hefei from November 16 to 18. As the first conference co-hosted by a ministry and a provincial government in China's IC field, the conference focuses on win-win cooperation and tries to build a collaboration and exchange platform for the global IC industry. The 2022 World Conference on Integrated Circuits is hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China and the Anhui provincial government, and undertaken by the Hefei Municipal Government, the Anhui Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology, China Semiconductor Industry Association, and China Center for Information Industry Development. During the conference, one opening ceremony and opening forum, four summit forums, ten theme forums and other activities will be held. At the same time, the 20th China International Semiconductor Expo (IC China 2022) will be held with an exhibition area of nearly 23,000 square meters. It will comprehensively display cutting-edge technologies and innovative products in all aspects of the global IC industry chain. More than 300 leading companies in the industrial chain from home and abroad will participate in the exhibition. In recent years, the IC industry in our province has grown rapidly. Last year, the revenue of the whole industry in Anhui exceeded 40 billion yuan (about 5.5 billion U.S. dollars). At present, there are more than 400 Anhui enterprises in the IC industry, forming a relatively complete industrial chain from design, manufacturing, packaging and testing, to materials, equipment, innovative R&D platforms and personnel training. The IC industrial pattern of "one core and one belt" with Hefei as the core and coordinated development of relevant cities along the Yangtze River has been preliminarily established.
