Rare freshwater jellyfish found in Huaining, Anhui

Craspedacusta sowerbyi, a freshwater jellyfish that is almost extinct, is found in a pond in Pingshan township, Huaining county, East China’s Anhui province, August 20, 2020. The species, traced back to 650 million years ago, even earlier than dinosaurs, can only survive in water that has not been polluted by human activities.
