East China’s Anhui province is willing to deepen cooperation with Georgia in such fields as economy, investment and trade to achieve mutual benefit and common development, governor Wang Qingxian said on Wednesday. Wang made the remarks during a meeting with Archil Kalandia, Georgian Ambassador to China, in Hefei, capital of the province. China is creating a new development paradigm featuring dual circulation, in which domestic and overseas markets reinforce each other, with the domestic market as the mainstay. With strong innovation capacity, solid industrial foundation and huge markets, Anhui faces many opportunities and has good prospects for cooperation with countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, the governor said. The province is willing to strengthen cooperation with Georgia in fields like investment and trade, and will encourage local enterprises to expand their presence in Georgia, Wang added. Archil Kalandia said Georgia connects Asia with Europe and enjoys advantageous location. He welcomed more investment from and cooperation with Anhui.
