On July 26-28 during the summer travel peak, the reporter took the G8388 train departing from Hefeinan Station to experience the super loop high-speed rail. The G8388 train departs from Shanghai Station, passes through 19 stations in the Yangtze River Delta region, and returns to Shanghai Hongqiao Station, realizing the "loop" operation in the Yangtze River Delta. This is the first "loop" train that connects the three provinces and one city in the Yangtze River Delta. The single-trip mileage exceeds 1,200 kilometers and the entire journey takes 8 hours and 9 minutes. It connects the four major and secondary cities in the Yangtze River Delta region, including Shanghai, Nanjing, Hefei, and Hangzhou, while also linking the relatively remote cities in the region to the central cities, making the connections and exchanges between cities more close and convenient. It is reported that since this loop train started operating over a month ago, the average occupancy rate has reached 90%, and the increase in passenger flow to tourist attractions is two to three times the average increase in summer railway passenger flow nationwide.
