In the first half of this year, Anhui has prioritized the automotive industry, providing top-tier support to help vehicle enterprises launch new projects, build new factories, introduce new products, establish new brands, and explore new markets, thereby accelerating the high-quality development of the automotive manufacturing sector. From January to June, the province produced 1.506 million vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 46.7%, accounting for 10.8% of the national total, ranking second in the country. Among these, 621,000 were new energy vehicles (NEVs), representing a year-on-year increase of 81.4% and accounting for 12.6% of the national total, also ranking second nationwide. Additionally, 679,000 vehicles were exported, a year-on-year increase of 21.5%, raising Anhui's share of the national total to 24.3%. This year, focusing on the automotive sector as a primary industry, Anhui province have vigorously promoted key projects for companies such as Chery, JAC, NIO, and Volkswagen Anhui, systematically planned production and demand matching activities, accelerated trials of integrated "vehicle-road-cloud" applications, initiated pilot projects to address gaps in county-level charging and battery swapping infrastructure, and expedited the development of Anhui's automotive industry and the establishment of a strong NEV province. As of the end of June, Anhui's automotive manufacturing sector included over 1,360 enterprises above the designated size, a net increase of more than 80 compared to the same period last year. In the first five months of this year, enterprises above the designated size in the province's automotive manufacturing sector achieved revenue of 248.96 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 30.9%, and total profits of 15.01 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 163.8%.
