On June 24th around 12 PM, an E190 jet aircraft from Guangxi Beibu Gulf Airlines (GX Airlines) landed at the Huangshan Tunxi International Airport. This is the first time a jet aircraft has been stationed at this airport. To promote the development of the Great Yellow Mountain area and accelerate the growth of air travel tourism, Anhui province's first aviation operations platform company was launched in Huangshan City this April. This has increased the frequency of flights between Huangshan and major domestic and international tourist cities. The company has partnered with Beibu Gulf Airlines to station 2 E190 aircraft at Huangshan, gradually opening 12 new routes, 10 of which originate from Huangshan, to build a 360-degree route network centered around Huangshan. The marketing manager of Huangshan Tunxi International Airport shared that starting June 25th, new routes will open from Huangshan to Hohhot, Yantai, Shijiazhuang, and Taiyuan. From July 1st, new routes will open to Chongqing, Changsha, Haikou, Dalian, Qingdao, Zhuhai, Guilin, Yichang, Mianyang, and Jieyang. Huangshan Tunxi International Airport currently has 5 routes - Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xi'an-Huangshan-Xiamen, and Bangkok, with an average of 36 weekly flights. After the new routes open, the airport will have 17 routes and 20 destinations, with an average of 92 weekly flights.
